Literature fans can retrace the footsteps of brothers Thomas and Heinrich Mann and visit the Buddenbrook house in Mengstrasse next to Lübeck's Marienkirche church. Thomas Mann created a monument to the city of Lübeck with his novel "Buddenbrooks" and was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature for his work.
Directions to our hotel by car
From the east: Take the A20 from the direction of Rostock/Schwerin and continue to the Lübeck-Genin exit. Turn right into Baltische Allee towards Lübeck. Follow Baltische Allee around 1.5 km, over the roundabout and traffic lights. At the second set of lights (junction of Geniner Strasse, Malmöstrasse, Baltische Allee) turn left into Geniner Dorfstrasse. Turn right at the end of the street and right again into Moislinger Allee at the first junction. After the railway bridge, turn right into Luise-Otto-Peters-Strasse. The hotel is situated on the left (corner of Dr.-Luise-Klinsmann-Strasse).
From the north: Take the A1 motorway to the "Lübeck Moisling" exit. Turn left into Padelügger Weg. At the fifth set of traffic lights, turn left into Moislinger Allee (Careful, there are permanent speed cameras on this road!). After the railway bridge, turn right into Luise-Otto-Peters-Strasse. The Best Western Hotel Aquamarin Lübeck is on the left hand side.
From the south: Take the A1 towards Hamburg to the "Lübeck Moisling" exit. Turn right into Padelügger Weg. At the fourth set of traffic lights, turn left into Moislinger Allee and after the railway bridge turn right into Luise-Otto-Peters Strasse. The Best Western Hotel Aquamarin Lübeck is on the left.
Directions to our hotel by public transport
From Lübeck central station take the number 5, 6 or 16 bus out of the city. The bus goes every 10 minutes. Buy a ticket for zone 6000 from the bus driver. Get off at the "Roter Löwe" stop. From here it is around one minute to the Best Western Hotel Aquamarin Lübeck.
From Lübeck Airport: Take the number 6 bus – the bus brings you direct to our hotel in 30 to 45 minutes. Stop: "Roter Löwe"
